Creative Expressions by Fran
offers a wide variety of collectibles for the collector in all
of us!
Bearington Bears:
Bearington
Collection was founded in 1997 in Marietta, Georgia.
It’s a family owned and operated (privately held) business.
Bearington’s slogan is, “It MUST be a Bearington!.”
How does one distinguish a Bearington Bear from all of
the others? Well, if a collector finds a bear that has enough
personality to make him/her laugh out loud and the bear is
fashioned with the highest quality apparel and accessories and
is offered at an unbelievable
price then, “It MUST be a Bearington!” Bearington’s
collectibles can also be spotted by their green and cream oval
ear tag, which indicates each item’s name. The unique creations
of the Bearington Collection can be attributed to its designers’
abilities to stay one step ahead of the current trends in color
and fashion. This talent allows Bearington’s designs to
be both fantastic collectibles and charming decorative
accessories for the home.

Demdaco Willow Tree®
Angels:
Willow
Tree® represents qualities and sentiments that help us feel
close to others, heal wounds or treasure relationships. Artist
Susan Lordi's sculptures communicate elegance, simplicity, peace
and serenity. Her hand-carved forms reveal their expression
through gestures only… a tilt of the head, placement of the
hands, a turn of the body. "Emotions and feelings are left to
the viewer to discern," says Susan, "which makes them very
personal."
South
Seas Ducks:
For generations, Southeast Asian villagers cleared bamboo
fields and the roots were tossed into a large pile and burned.
Now, today's villagers have found employment and are preventing
the air pollution this once caused. To create these unique
ducks, skilled artisans start with the body which is hand carved
from a bamboo root. The carved root is then kiln dried to cure
it.
A head and feet made from reclaimed teak are then attached to
the body before a specialized paint is applied. Each root, with
its unique shape, twists and curves, determines the personality
or "attitude" of the creature. They refined their production to
offer five poses in four basic colors. No two ducks are alike,
each has it's own name, and each comes with a certificate of
adoption.
